Be respectful

Treat other members like real people. Disagreement and criticism are allowed, but personal attacks, bullying, harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, hate speech, or deliberately hostile behaviour are not.

Do not attack or exclude someone because of characteristics such as race, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.

Keep it musician-friendly

Posts should stay broadly related to music, playing, songwriting, recording, live sound, gear, creativity, or the musician community. Use the most relevant instrument and topic labels so other members can understand what they are opening.

Give useful feedback

If someone asks for feedback, aim to be constructive. Explain what works, what could be improved, and why. Critique the work rather than humiliating the person who made it.

Protect children and vulnerable people

Never post, request, promote, or link to child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming, sexualisation of a child, trafficking, or instructions for harming a child. Do not encourage suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges.

Do not share another person’s private or identifying information without permission. Be especially careful not to reveal a young person’s school, home address, phone number, live location, or other information that could put them at risk.

No unlawful, sexual, violent, or deceptive content

Do not post unlawful material, credible threats, graphic violence, pornography or sexual content, instructions that facilitate serious wrongdoing, malicious software, or content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.

Do not use Ampli-Fi to spam, scam, manipulate engagement, impersonate another person or organisation, mislead people about an affiliation, repeatedly self-promote without contributing to discussions, or post malicious or deceptive links.

Respect copyright and other rights

Only post text, images, recordings, links, and other material that you have the right to share. Credit does not replace permission. Do not invade privacy, misuse a trade mark, or falsely claim another musician’s work as your own.

Report, block, and appeal

Use the Flag control on a discussion or reply when it breaks these guidelines or may be unlawful. You can also block another member from their profile; their discussions and replies will be hidden from you, and neither account can interact with the other’s content while the block remains active.

If you believe Ampli-Fi made the wrong moderation decision, use Feedback and choose the most relevant safety or account option. Explain the decision and include the discussion, reply, or account details so it can be reviewed.

How moderation works

High-confidence safety checks may stop some text before it is published. Member reports and human review are also used. These controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every harmful or unlawful post will be found immediately.

Content may be labelled, limited, hidden, or removed, and accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended, or deleted where reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, comply with law, or protect people and the service. Serious risks may be reported to the appropriate authority where required or permitted by law.

Reports are not monitored as an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
