Community & Safety

Cookie Policy

This notice covers cookies and similar storage used by the Ampli-Fi website and equivalent on-device storage used by the iPhone app.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on a browser. Local storage, session storage, software-development-kit storage, and device identifiers can perform similar jobs. Some are set by Ampli-Fi and some by providers such as Supabase or Google.

Strictly necessary account and security storage

Supabase authentication storage keeps a member signed in, refreshes the session, and protects account requests. Ampli-Fi also uses technical storage needed for security and core operation. These items last for the session or until their token expires, is replaced, you sign out, delete the account, or clear the browser or app data.

Blocking strictly necessary storage can prevent login, account security, posting, and other core features from working. It does not require advertising consent because it is used to provide the service you request, not to personalise ads.

Drafts, preferences, and device features

The website uses session storage to prevent accidental loss of discussion, reply, edit, and feedback drafts. Session drafts normally disappear when the browser tab or session ends, when the draft is submitted or cleared, or when the browser removes them. Some local application state can remain until it is replaced or cleared in the browser.

The iPhone app uses local storage for drafts, a random push-installation identifier and APNs token, and consent or privacy state. Drafts remain until submitted, cleared, invalidated by a newer source version, or app data is removed. Push information remains while notifications are enabled or until it is removed, replaced, or the account is deleted.

Google consent and advertising storage

Google Privacy & Messaging on the web and Google User Messaging Platform in the iPhone app store consent signals and, where permission allows, enable advertising technologies used to select, deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads. Their duration is controlled by the consent tool, device, and Google, and choices may be requested again when they expire or requirements change.

Where consent is legally required, non-essential Google advertising storage is not used unless the applicable choice permits it. A refusal of the necessary storage or vendor permission leaves Ampli-Fi on house promotions. Teen and undeclared accounts receive age-restricted non-personalised treatment even if a broader device consent exists.

No Ampli-Fi analytics service at present

Ampli-Fi does not currently enable a separate product-analytics service. Hosting, security, consent, and advertising providers can still create operational, diagnostic, and advertising records as described in the Privacy Policy.

Managing your choices

Use the available Google privacy choices to accept, reject, or revisit advertising options. In the iPhone app, open Privacy & data; manage cross-app tracking in iOS Settings. Browser controls can remove or block cookies and site storage, and iOS can remove app data. Clearing storage may sign you out, erase unsent drafts, reset preferences, or cause a consent question to appear again.

For questions about a storage item or choice, contact feedback@amplifi.music with the subject “Privacy or data request”.
