I’ve been an active musician for over 35 years. I started as a drummer, then picked up the guitar mainly so I could write songs and sing. Eventually, I went on to study Popular Music at college and university — yes, that really was a thing, though I’m not entirely sure it still is. After getting my degree, I moved to Atlanta, where I spent 15 years working as a private music instructor. I’m also a published author, with a full method series for teaching drums — apologies if the books are currently spamming your feed. These days, I play in a local Weymouth-area covers band called The Stickets. It’s mostly for laughs, but I get to sing a mix of rock and pop styles, play guitar, and occasionally unleash a bit of keytar.
