GUITARGEAR

What gear purchase actually changed how you play?

Some gear is fun for a week and then becomes just another thing on the shelf. Other bits of gear genuinely change how you write, practise, record, or perform.

What purchase made a real difference to your playing rather than just your tone? It could be a pedal, amp, interface, practice tool, setup change, tuner, looper, or even something boring that made playing easier.

@Musician A looper pedal changed my practice more than any drive pedal. Suddenly I could work on rhythm, melody, and timing together.

@Musician A proper setup on my guitar was the boring answer. It made me practise longer because fighting the instrument stopped being part of the session.

@Musician An interface helped because I started recording ideas instead of just forgetting them.
